About Marilyn

Marilyn has spent her entire career providing support and training to the IT user community in both large and small companies and at the small group and individual level. This support has included software training, equipment setup and maintenance and writing customized user manuals for individual programs and applications.

In the mid-1990's Marilyn added web design to her IT support. She knew it was going to become something, but had no idea it would grow to what it is today. In the late 1990's her family relocated to Europe where she worked with the Department's of Defense and State and helped DoD and DoS dependents keep their computer skills fresh while stationed overseas. During this same time, she created websites for the Department of State at the US Embassy in Brussels.

Now back in the US, she continues to provide training for beginner and intermediate level users in senior centers, adult continuing education programs, small businesses, and private individuals in the Greater Seattle area. Her primary focus is with small businesses, non-profits, youth oriented groups and individuals. She wants to ensure that everyone has the same opportunity to establish and maintain an Internet presence and keep their computer skills sharp.

She holds a degree in Web Development and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Several of Marilyn's training and web development projects have been funded in part by grants from The City of Seattle and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

My goal is to empower as many people as possible with the skills necessary to keep up with the Internet and technology.
