Marilyn is a Microsoft Master Instructor and certified webmaster. As a Master Instructor she specializes in the Microsoft Office suites and web development programs. She enjoys both writing and delivering training courses. She caters to small businesses, home based businesses, start-up businesses and non-profit organizations.
Marilyn has worked with adult training programs for several years. She has developed proprietary courses for organizations and Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of State (DoS) dependant education programs. Between 1999 and 2005 she lived in Europe and helped DoD and DoS dependants maintain their office and computer skills through computer classes. She also used her web design skills to help these same groups maintain their businesses presence via the World Wide Web while their families were stationed overseas.
Marilyn holds a degree in web development from Baker College, earned her Master Instructor certification through the MMI Train the Trainer program at IACT in Dublin, Ireland and is certified by the World Organization of Webmasters.
Marilyn’s goal is to share her knowledge and help empower as many people as possible with the skills necessary to keep up with the Internet and technology. Today she devotes time to helping non-profit organizations maintain their Internet presence and get their message out via the World Wide Web. She also devotes a great deal of time to teaching in school district continuing education programs, senior centers and low income and transitional housing and shelter facilities. Some of her teaching programs are funded in part by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
